Weare looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as SeniorFinance & Accounts Manager based inChennai.

1. ROLEOBJECTIVE

Provide advice andcounsel to management regarding taxation treasury cash managementborrowings and other risk factors to achieve desired businessresults. Also to mobilize resources and ensure efficient cash flowmanagement to support various future projects.

Financial Perspective

  • Align functional strategieswith organizational objectives by analyzing and reviewing businessperformance and recommending corrective action

  • Overseeing andspearheading of the function of preparing and coordinating withfinancial institutions regarding funds and finances. Ensuring thatfunds are made available timely and at the most cost effectiveinterest rates

  • Work closely with the project finance &accounting and assist in developing the accounting proceduressystems and norms at the project sites and to ensure consolidationof accounts from sites on a monthly basis

  • Ensure long term resourcemobilization and financial health of the Projects /Investments

Customer Perspective

  • Oversee and guiderelationship building with Banks and FinancialInstitutions

  • Ensuring timely payments and collections fromcustomers

Internal Process Perspective

  • Create a culture offinancial discipline by ensuring the implementation of managementand financial management systems and processes across theorganization

  • Responsible for development implementation andmaintenance of all aspects of the corporate treasuryfunction

  • Handling complete closure of monthly & yearlybooks of Accounts including provisioning. (I.e. Profit & LossAccounts Balance sheet & others) Monitoring & scrutiny ofall expenses ledgers on monthly basis

  • Analysis and reporting ofcorporate treasury function including investment performance andcash management. Development and maintenance of complex financialmodels in support of cash management activities

  • Recommend process changesand introduce Management Information Systems enabling effectivedecision making

  • Establish effective financial controls byensuring financial integrity and good accountingsystems

  • Establish effective and robust financialaccounting and cost accounting systems so as to provide timelyaccurate and consistent inputs for management reporting andallowing detailed analysis of performance in financialterms

  • Establish strong financial budgeting andmonitoring system

  • Ensure implementation of common accountingsystems in line with the Accounting Standards across the locationsof the Organization

  • Scan the environment and work towards keeping theorganization ready in advance to face the new challenges in thearea of financial accounting taxation or disclosure requirementsbeing brought by ICAI Govt. or regulatory bodies for protectingstake holders interest

  • Periodically benchmark the accounts and taxfunction with the similar functions in the other reputedorganizations to understand new reporting systems that can beadopted.

  • Effectively contribute to tax planning atcorporate level and also assist in tax planning of direct andindirect taxation in commercial decisions

  • Ensure statutorycompliance of the domestic corporate laws

CapabilityPerspective

  • Conduct monthly Finance Review Meetings tomonitor on a timely basis achievement of action plans identify andhighlight deviations document corrective action and reportperformance of the same

  • Actively take responsibility to develop the teamand motivate them to achieve stretch performancetargets

At head office and atbranches

And arrangement ofworking capital

  • Minimize cost of funds

  • Cost saving througheffective tax structuring

  • Time and accurate financialreporting

  • Cost containment measures suggested andimplemented

4. KEY INTERACTIONS

  • Senior management (For getting annualbudget passed or any huge capital expenditure)

  • Marketing & Tendering(Ensuring debtors control)

  • Purchase & Stores (Ensurecreditors control)

  • Operations (For operations relatedinformation)

External

  • Financial Institutions (For cashborrowing and interest servicing)

  • Banks (For day to day transaction andreconciliation)

  • Auditors (Ensure yearly audit ofaccounts)

  • Vendors (Payments and followup)

5. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education CA ICWA

Experience 10 to 15 years of relevantexperience
