Job Description

We are looking for a Revenue Accountant (Level 1). You will be part of monthly close activities related to Revenue, AR related journal entries and monthly Revenue reporting.

  • As an integral member of a team, prepare month-end journals, perform month-end closing and reporting activities; own the end-to-end process of handling and reviewing tickets raised by multiple stakeholders to ensure correct revenue adjustments in Chargebee and Netsuite.
  • Proactively process of all revenue related adjustments and payment application in Chargebee after obtaining approvals as per internal policy.
  • Perform weekly and monthly Bank reconciliations and monitor the variance.
  • Perform contract analysis on a monthly basis and identify exceptions, if any.
  • Support overall business unit reporting requirements. Develop knowledge and understanding of the financial systems that are critical to the reporting process.
  • Prepare analysis for ad hoc requests and special projects and provide direct support to the management team.
  • Ability to resolve revenue related queries as per ASC 606 and preparation of workpapers as per SOX compliance.
  • Collaborate with various teams (Billing,Collection,Sales) across the company to resolve all issues on real time basis
  • Ability to support all the audit related queries.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of accounting-related work experience, including US GAAP accounting, management and financial reporting,
  • MBA Finance / B.com degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Experience working on tools like NetSuite and Chargebee
  • Strong communication skill, work ethics, professional attitude and reliability
  • Advanced computer literacy (use of Windows and corresponding software applications including PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
