Sr AI Specialist is part of global Data and Insights team of Nexperia. D&I team is developing AI CoE for Nexperia with focus to take the company to an AI driven decision company by 2030 and to help achieve its strategic goals of growth in revenue, cashflow & EBIT.
Function of Senior AI Specialist is about leading AI CoE, building AI governance, ideation, AI Evangelization, AI training as well as AI products that help achieve company objectives.
In This Position You Will Be Responsible For
Build AI roadmap for Nexperia – technologies to focus on (Deep Learning, NLP, decision automation tools , Generative AI, Image processing)
Develop AI roadmap for Revenue, Cost, Margin, Smart Pricing, Smart yield management, Smart OEE management, WIP management, scheduling , procurement automation amongst other use cases. Broad understanding of how to drive AI adoption in business as well as ability to understand different biz processes and driving solution is needed.
Develop deep understanding of various L2/L3 nexperia processes . Including deep understanding of Semiconductor R&D and Manufacturing.
Drive Collaboration with stakeholders of different functions,
Evangelize AI with different leadership teams of Nexperia
Drive discussions on investment and business value in steering committee meetings
Develop data analysis teams for key strategic KPI’s. Deliver solutions to fill gap between target v/s projected actual.
Drive data completion per L2/L3 process
Work with Business Solution lead team to help them roll out AI tools
Deploy and monitor the solution
Drive Nexperia Data Literacy Program. Develop Content. Participate in Monthly data discussions, build a strong community in Nexperia.
Identify key users and train them to create more data scientists in the
Be an innovation partner , connect with outside universities, thought leaders and help bring new solutions to Nexperia
Key Skills
Proven record of developing, deploying AI at scale – particularly deep learning , decision automation, Workflow automation- AI ChatBot, email classifier , Generative AI , Image processing and various anomaly techniques
Proven deep understanding of statistics.
Good knowledge of the business vertical with prior experience in solving different use cases in the manufacturing or similar industry
Ability to bring cross industry learning to benefit the use cases aimed at improving manufacturing process at Nexperia
Great communication skills with leadership team at Executive management level as well as functional leadership team level
Proven Ability to drive change.
Proven track record of people training, developing AI skills, interns to data scientists to develop talent.
Problem Scoping/definition Skills:
Possess agility and awareness to identify value opportunities and create a business use case
Experience in problem scoping, solving, quantification
Ability to foresee and identify all right data required to solve the problem
Data Wrangling Skills:
Strong skill in data mining, data wrangling techniques for creating the required analytical dataset
Adaptive mindset to improvise on the data challenges and employ techniques to drive desired outcomes
Programming Skills:
Advanced working knowledge with Python
Big data programming platforms such as pyspark, SparkSQL, Spark ML, Spark Graph etc.
Hands-on experience in database query language such as Oracle-SQL
Visualization Skills
Experience of using visualization tools (Spotfire is a plus)
Good storytelling skills to present the data in simple and meaningful manner
Data Science Skills
Strong skill in data analysis techniques to generate finding and insights by means of exploratory data analysis
Good knowledge on Univariate/Multivariate analysis techniques to understand and derive hidden and meaningful pattern out of the data
Knowledge on right sampling techniques
Experience in working on dimensionality reduction
Ability to work with highly Imbalance/skewed data set and experience of implementing rare event modelling techniques
Experience in implementing statistical modelling techniques both Linear and Non-linear models
Experience of working with supervised and unsupervised machine learning modelling, primarily forecasting, clustering and classification techniques (Regression, Random Forest, SVM, XGBoost etc.)
Good hands-on experience with hyperparameter tuning, grid search and model accuracy measurement techniques
Knowledge in implementing right ensemble modelling techniques for better accuracy and outcome
Right implementation knowledge on Deep learning models including image and video processing
Minimum know-how of implementing Self-Learning AI models (Reinforcement Learning) and have capability leveraging in implementation of use cases

You are expected to bring the following to the table:
Graduate Engineer – preferably in Mechanical or Industrial engineering or computer science
Master’s in mathematics, Statistics or data science would be an advantage.
Minimum 10-15 years of experience- spanning various exposure areas around data. Last 5 years dedicated to AI
Proven ability to work with multi-cultural , multi-location teams
Experience in large project implementation related to Supply Chain management, factory scheduling, big data data lake architectures is a plus
Proven track record of ability to ideate, develop unique solutions using data science.
