Technical Scrum Master

JOB DESCRIPTION:We are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to lead agile delivery among teams with diverse expertise, promoting efficient teamwork, visibility, and ongoing improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of agile principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to remove impediments that block team progress. A solid understanding of technical concepts and risk management will be a strong plus.In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Drive agile adoption within the team by promoting best practices, transparency, and accountability.Work closely with product owners to ensure the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for execution.Track, report, and communicate sprint progress, impediments, and outcomes to stakeholders.Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks and dependencies to minimize delivery impact.Foster collaboration across cross-functional teams (development, QA, business, and operations).Support continuous improvement by analyzing sprint metrics and identifying process enhancement opportunities.Mentor team members on agile principles and help cultivate a self-organizing, high-performing culture.Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and delivery leads to ensure alignment across teams and projects.Encourage data-driven decision-making and maintain focus on business outcomes and customer value.Who You Are:You show a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations; are exceptional at spotting and seizing opportunities. For This Role, You Will Need:5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager in a software development environment.Strong understanding of technical concepts to engage meaningfully with engineering teams, understand architectural discussions, and facilitate effective communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.Hands-on experience with Agile tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or equivalent).Solid knowledge of risk management frameworks to identify, analyze, mitigate, and track project and delivery risks.Excellent facilitation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.Certification in Scrum (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) preferred.Exposure to CI/CD, DevOps, or cloud environments is a plus.Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:Strong communicator and active listener.Empathetic leadership style focused on empowerment, not command.Ability to balance delivery urgency with quality and sustainability.Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to issue resolution.Our Culture & Commitment to YouAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
