Control Advisory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive professional to join Control Utility as a Control Advisory Manager who would be responsible to assist Division / Corporate Function Business Control Officers and Control Owners by designing effective controls that a Control Owner will be accountable to implement and monitor quality. This role is responsible in designing, engineering, and remediating controls as assigned to ensure they are sustainable and compliant with control standards. The successful candidate will partner with the relevant Risk and Control owners to ensure the right controls are implemented with a strong focus on automation, measurement, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Act as a trusted advisor to Division/Function on control-related matters, providing expert guidance on control design and remediation. Review and assess process changes, new initiatives, and projects for control implications, ensuring alignment with enterprise control standards. Design and engineer controls to strengthen risk mitigation. Recommend and implement sustainable controls that meet requirements and industry best practices. Lead remediation efforts as assigned for control deficiencies, ensuring timely and effective resolution in partnership with relevant stakeholders. Develop and maintain comprehensive control documentation, including risk and control matrices, documentation to ensure effective operationalisation of controls. Provide training and awareness sessions to enhance control knowledge across the organisation to promote a healthy risk culture. Contribute to control testing strategies, support Risk Self-Assessments (CSAs), and leverage data analytics for continuous monitoring. Assist in Control Testing and Operations as needed Stay abreast of regulatory expectations, emerging risks, and industry trends in control automation and governance. Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, or related field; relevant professional certifications. 8-12 years of experience in risk management, internal controls, audit, or control advisory roles. Proven expertise in control design, remediation, and automation, including engineering preventive and detective controls. Strong understanding of control frameworks (e.g. COSO, SOX, COBIT). Experience in process mapping, risk assessment, and implementing technology-enabled controls. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Preferred Skills Experience in operational risk or control advisory within a global organisation. Familiarity with data analytics tools and control automation technologies. Ability to design and implement robust preventive, detective, and monitoring control frameworks.
