Job Description:

As a Maintenance Incharge at Gravton Motors, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all machinery, equipment, and facilities involved in the production and operation of our electric vehicles and related technologies. This role ensures the continuous operation of our manufacturing processes, maintenance of electric vehicle production lines, and overall facility upkeep while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Operations:
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all production machinery, tools, equipment, and systems within the manufacturing facility.
  • Lead the preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all critical equipment involved in the manufacturing process, including electric vehicle assembly lines, robotics, and testing equipment.
  • Perform and/or supervise troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize production downtime.
  • Facility and Infrastructure Maintenance:
  • Manage maintenance for the entire plant, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, lighting, and building infrastructure.
  • Ensure the timely repair of facility-related issues that could affect production or safety, such as electrical faults, plumbing, or fire safety systems.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination:
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the maintenance team to ensure technical competence and high performance.
  • Coordinate daily maintenance tasks, ensure that work orders are completed on schedule, and track progress.
  • Develop and implement training programs for maintenance personnel on the latest equipment, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Inventory and Spare Parts Management:
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of spare parts, tools, and other materials required for maintenance tasks.
  • Work with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of essential spare parts, equipment, and maintenance materials.
  • Ensure the proper storage and handling of maintenance materials to prevent damage and avoid stockouts.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and Gravton Motors' internal policies.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the maintenance area and equipment meet safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.
  • Identify and resolve any safety hazards associated with machinery, tools, or maintenance procedures.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management:
  • Assist in developing the annual maintenance budget, ensuring the effective use of resources and staying within budget limits.
  • Analyze maintenance costs and recommend cost-saving measures, including efficient repair practices and the use of long-lasting materials.
  • Track maintenance expenses and report on budget performance regularly.
  • Vendor and Contractor Management:
  • Manage external vendors or contractors for specialized maintenance services (e.g., HVAC specialists, electrical contractors, or automation service providers).
  • Ensure all contracts are negotiated effectively to guarantee the best service at the lowest cost.
  • Oversee and inspect external maintenance work to ensure it meets Gravton Motors' standards and timelines.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance reports, service logs, and inventory usage.
  • Generate monthly and quarterly maintenance performance reports, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) like downtime, repair costs, and equipment reliability.
  • Track the warranty and service agreements for machinery and equipment.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Recommend and implement improvements to equipment, systems, and maintenance processes to enhance reliability, productivity, and safety.
  • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and technological advances in electric vehicle production and maintenance practices.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A diploma or equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role, preferably within the automotive or electric vehicle manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and large-scale manufacturing facilities.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing equipment, systems (including electric vehicle assembly lines, automation tools, robotics, etc.), and facility maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
