Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an NPD Engineer located in Chennai. The NPD Engineer will be responsible for managing new product development projects from concept to production, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards. Daily tasks include designing and developing plastic injection molds, coordinating with cross-functional teams, conducting feasibility studies, and optimizing manufacturing processes. The role also involves maintaining project documentation, overseeing trials and validations, and implementing improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience in Injection Molding and Prototype Development
- Skills in Tooling Design, Manufacturing, and Assembly
- Knowledge of PPAP, PSW & QMS
- Proficiency in Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Strong project management and coordination abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field
- Experience in the plastics industry is a plus
