As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and configuring software systems either end-to-end or for a specific stage of product lifecycle. Apply knowledge of technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support the Ford Credit Salesforce Product Team. Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. Responsible for team decisions. Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. Advanced proficiency in Software Product Management is required. Advanced proficiency in Software Quality Assurance (SQA) is recommended. Intermediate proficiency in New Product Introduction (NPI), advanced proficiency in Software Asset Management (SAM), and intermediate proficiency in Design Innovation are suggested.
Responsibilities- Innovative Salesforce solutions, driving the development team toward excellence within the Ford Credit Salesforce Product Team.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless and successful delivery of complex software systems.
- Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives in software development processes and methodologies, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency.
- Provide strategic guidance and in-depth technical expertise to enhance product lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Contribute significantly to the project's overall success by implementing and advocating for best practices in software development.
- Offer expert input to drive top-tier design decisions, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Ensure the robust integration of the Salesforce platform with Ford Credit's existing application portfolio, optimizing performance and functionality.
The following technical skills and experience are essential for this role:
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Salesforce Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of Salesforce's architecture, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components and SOQL/SOSL
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Apex, Java and / or JavaScript, and familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS)
- Data Management: Skills in data modelling, data migration, and integration with external systems
- Security Best Practices: Knowledge of Salesforce security features, including role hierarchies, sharing rules, and field-level security
- Workflow Automation: Experience with Salesforce automation tools like Process Builder, Flow, and Workflow Rules
- Have current and valid certifications in:
- At least one core certification from the core Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Certified Administrator, Advanced Administrator or App Builder.
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II
The following technical skills and experience are beneficial but not essential for this role:
- Salesforce Integration:
- Ability to design and integrate API services in Salesforce Service Cloud solution.
- Experience with the APEX data loader, web services APIs/Platform Event/Changedata capture/REST/Pub/Sub.
- Experience using Anypoint/Mulesoft as Salesforce Integration ESB.
- Knowledge of Salesforce Automotive Cloud and Service Cloud
- Knowledge of the Retail Banking or Credit industry
- Proficiency in working in a Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery environment, with associated tools and processes. Experience with use of Copado toolset is beneficial.
