Job Description

Senior Salesforce Developer

Reports to: Salesforce Architect

Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality, scalable solutions on the Salesforce platform. You will serve as a technical lead on complex projects, providing guidance to junior developers and collaborating closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

The ideal candidate is a master of Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components, with a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, integration patterns, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design of scalable, high-performance technical solutions on the Salesforce platform that meet business requirements.
• Custom Development: Develop, test, and deploy robust custom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and the Aura framework.
• Integration: Design and build complex integrations between Salesforce and other third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and platform events.
• Code Quality & Best Practices: Enforce and contribute to development best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and maintainable code standards.
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a subject matter expert and mentor for junior developers, providing technical guidance, support, and knowledge sharing.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, bugs, and platform limitations, ensuring high system availability and performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, administrators, and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide technical estimations, and deliver solutions in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all custom development and integrations.
• Innovation: Stay current with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and technologies, and recommend improvements to optimize our Salesforce instance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications:

• Required: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
• Preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II

Technical Proficiency

• Expert-level knowledge of Apex, including classes, triggers, batch jobs, and asynchronous processing.
• Strong proficiency in Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• In-depth experience with Visualforce pages and controllers.
• Deep understanding of Salesforce data modeling, SOQL/SOSL, and platform governor limits.
• Proven experience with REST/SOAP APIs and building integrations.

DevOps & Tools: Experience with Salesforce DX, version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications

• Experience with Service Cloud and/or Experience Cloud (Community Cloud).
• Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect certification.
