WHO YOU ARE:

As a Content Designer at Zinnia, you'll use your talent for language to design intuitive, engaging product experiences that help users accomplish their goals. You'll think beyond words — using content strategy, information architecture, and UX principles to make complex systems feel simple and human. Your work will ensure every interaction reflects Zinnia's voice and supports a cohesive, user-centered experience across our products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Bring a content lens to the UX design process, collaborating with designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers to shape product experiences from concept through delivery.
  • Drive ideas for product language and content across product areas, ensuring cohesive narratives and consistent terminology.

  • Develop and maintain the Zinnia UX style guide, evolving it as our products and brand grow by documenting strategies through guidelines, principles, and best practices to establish clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Test and iterate on content using data, research, and user feedback to continuously improve clarity, usability, and engagement.
  • Advocate for content design best practices and champion the role of language in creating intuitive and accessible digital experiences. 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, UX Design, or a related field.
  • Atleast 3 years of experience as a UX writer, content designer, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and user behavior.
  • Portfolio showcasing UX writing and content design work with measurable impact on user experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate complex problems, perform discovery, and learn quickly. 

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly annuities, mutual funds, or life insurance.
  • Proven track record of simplifying technical or complex workflows for digital interfaces.
