Job Title: Manual Tester

Location: Mohali

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for ensuring the quality of software applications and possess hands-on experience in manual testing. You will work closely with the development team to identify, document, and resolve defects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze functional and technical requirements to create detailed test cases.
  • Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
  • Identify, record, and track bugs using a bug-tracking tool.
  • Perform regression, smoke, and functional testing.
  • Validate fixes and ensure defects are resolved.
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and present test reports and summaries to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans and test scripts.
  • Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Manual Tester or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Familiarity with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, GitHub,)
  • Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman.
  • Basic understanding of SQL for database testing.
  • Exposure to automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
