Job Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in all guest areas, public spaces, and staff zones of VGP Heritage. The role involves supervising the housekeeping team, maintaining quality standards, ensuring guest satisfaction, and coordinating with other departments for smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure all guest rooms, public areas, restrooms, and back-office areas are clean and well maintained.
  • Prepare daily duty rosters and assign tasks to housekeeping attendants.
  • Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ensure housekeeping supplies and guest amenities are adequately stocked.
  • Train, guide, and monitor staff to maintain discipline, grooming standards, and performance efficiency.
  • Handle lost and found procedures as per company policy.
  • Report maintenance issues to the Engineering department and ensure timely rectification.
  • Coordinate with the Front Office and Banquet teams for room readiness, event setups, and special requirements.
  • Maintain records of attendance, stock usage, and cleaning checklists.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and environmental standards as per company norms.
  • Support management in implementing housekeeping policies, cost control, and inventory management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management / Housekeeping or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a similar supervisory role, preferably in hotels, resorts, or heritage properties.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools, and housekeeping procedures.
  • Flexibility to work on shifts, weekends, and holidays.
