units as well as Projects are reporting to Plant Head.
Plant operation activities, encompassing production planning, Raw Material
procurement, Quality Assurance , Resource Management to achieve the
targets or and desired results.
 Ensuring cost effectiveness of products through better process control,
strategic raw material procurement, plant availability, waste recycling and
energy optimization.
Quality assurance of products through strategic tools viz TQM
 Planning & Implementation of new technologies, ideas and policies
Up-gradation of production capacities through adopting latest technologies
 Infrastructure development within and outside plant
 Development of plant facilities ,viz railway siding, raw material stacking and
reclaiming system, water reservoir, river water intake etc
 Statutory compliance related to environmental and other plant affairs.
 Strategic partnership with customers / clients for development and promotion
of plant business
 Up-gradation of plant maintenance through strategic tools viz TPM etc
Steering role in finalization of operational contracts
 Project contracts viz ,civil, mechanical & electrical contractors,
 Technical evaluation & negotiations of equipments and technologies
Vendors/ suppliers selection after ascertaining their capacity and limitations
Interactions with Top Management / Consultants/ Technology providers
Vendors in order to push ahead the project within the
 Project implementation, scheduling, budgeting / costing
Optimal utilization of manpower through careful assessment of requirements
Interaction with managerial staff for progress review, production review and
other day to day affairs.
