About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Database Architect to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and optimizing complex database systems that support high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust database architectures and data models.
  • Define database standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Work with development teams to ensure database design aligns with business needs and application requirements.
  • Implement high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and storage tuning.
  • Monitor database performance and security, ensuring compliance with data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define database strategies and roadmaps.
  • Support data migration, transformation, and integration projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Expertise in database design, normalization, and denormalization techniques.
  • Strong skills in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools, data warehousing, and big data technologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL) is preferred.
  • Other Requirements:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience in database security, backup, and recovery strategies.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
