We are seeking a results-driven construction engineer to manage our project. You will be contributing to the planning and design of the project, allocating resources to each of the project's stages, and overseeing the engineering processes of our construction
Project Engineer who plans, directs, and supervises large construction projects.
To ensure success as a construction engineer, you should demonstrate extensive experience as a construction engineer and the ability to provide leadership. An accomplished construction engineer will be someone whose expertise in construction engineering results in constructions that are cost-effective and structurally sound.
Construction Engineer Responsibilities:
Civil engineering – construction engineers using technical engineering skills based in math and physics to predict future problems and find solutions for them.
Project management – construction engineers determine the critical path necessary for a project to get done, then design plans to make it happen. People at all levels look to them for guidance.
Construction management – engineers perform various construction management duties, such as budget management, scheduling, material procurement, and labour planning
Leadership – interpersonal skills are essential for construction engineers to lead a large crew and successfully influence the outcomes of construction projects
Creativity – construction engineers need to use creativity to innovate and improve solutions
Planning skills – planning and design are essential skills for construction engineers to execute their responsibilities well
Communication skills – good verbal and written communication skills are important for construction engineers because they constantly submit reports and share vital information in a clear, concise manner.
Overseeing all the different engineering processes in a construction project is the primary responsibility of a construction engineer.
Construction engineers bring specific knowledge to construction projects, such as cost control, cost accounting, and management of project schedules. They constantly refer to schedules to make sure quality work is done on time. When needed, they facilitate discussions and create solutions between construction contractors and construction managers. It is their responsibility to eliminate disagreements in the field and misunderstandings about expected work outcomes.
Engineers carefully inspect all drawings and designs before they are implemented. They plan personnel flows and decide how other contractors and subcontractors will support ongoing operations.
Keeping up-to-date logs, estimates, change orders, vendor forms, and surveys with different software is a key role of construction engineers. With documentation, they identify and spot technical problems in the construction process. If necessary, they secure more materials to keep construction going.
Manage to planning, execution and design stages of construction projects.
Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project manager.
Liaising between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
Performing regular tests on materials and procedures to ensure compliance with industry
regulations.
Ensuring that the construction project is completed on time and within budget.
Documenting processes and keeping detailed construction logs.
Presenting construction project progress updates to senior managers.
Availability to visit the construction site outside of business hours, when relevant.
Manage, design, develop, create and maintain small-scale through to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely and sustainable manner
Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and other)
Carry out technical and feasibility studies and draw up blueprints that satisfy technical
specifications
Assess potential risks, materials and costs
Provide advice and resolve creatively any emerging problems/deficiencies
Handle over the resulting structures and services for use
Monitor progress and compile reports in project status
Manage budget and purchase equipment/materials
Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required
Construction Engineer Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or similar.
- At least 4 years of Proven working experience in civil engineering.
- Advance proficiency in construction management software, such as Build Smart and Smart
- sheet etc.
- Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD, Computer-aided drafting and design 3D modeling software or similar
- Proficiency in site layout, grading, utility design, erosion control, regulatory approvals etc
- Project management and supervision skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Geographic information systems (GIS)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40, ₹45,000.00 per month
