We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical formulations. The ideal candidate should possess in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the manufacturing of Tablets, Capsules, Softgels, Sachets, and Protein Powders.

Role & responsibilities

A Production Manager in a Pharmaceutical company is responsible for overseeing the formulations, manage all aspects of formulation/ Manufacturing area utilising people, equipment & Materials to meet or exceed the production plan as efficient as possible with minimal wastage of resources

1. Production Planning & Management

Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand.

Optimize resources (manpower, machinery, materials) for efficiency.

Ensure timely production while minimizing waste and downtime.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure all products meet GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA, and other regulatory standards.

Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to maintain high-quality standards.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold product integrity.

3. Process Improvement & Cost Control

Identify areas for process optimization to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Implement lean manufacturing techniques to enhance efficiency.

Manage inventory levels to minimize raw material wastage.

4. Equipment & Facility Management

Ensure proper maintenance of production equipment and machinery.

Coordinate with the engineering team for repairs and upgrades.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

5. Team Leadership & Training

Supervise production staff and ensure smooth workflow.

Train employees on safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory compliance.

Motivate the team to achieve production targets and maintain high performance.

6. Compliance with Health & Safety Regulations

Knowledge on FSSAI, GMP guidelines and practice

Enforce workplace safety policies to prevent accidents.

Ensure employees follow hygiene standards and wear protective gear as required.

Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions.

7. Coordination with Other Departments

Collaborate with R&D for new product development and process improvements.

Work with procurement for raw material availability.

Liaise with the supply chain to ensure timely product delivery.

8. Reporting & Documentation

Maintain production records, batch records, and compliance documents.

Generate reports on production efficiency, yield, and any issues encountered.

Present production updates to senior management
