Role Overview -

We are seeking a visionary Quality / Lab Head to conceive, establish, and operate a cutting-edge mineral testing laboratory for the companys digital marketplace. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and setting up laboratory operations, sourcing advanced analytical equipment (such as XRD, XRF, ICP, etc.), developing SOPs, building and managing a technical team, and implementing global best practices to guarantee quality assurance for all minerals traded on the platform.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ph.D. or Masters degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Mineral Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years' experience in running or managing a minerals (or materials) testing laboratory, preferably with exposure to XRD, XRF, and related instrumentation (including troubleshooting and calibration).
  • Experience in establishing laboratory facilities, including equipment procurement, layout planning, and regulatory approvals.
  • Strong knowledge of international quality standards (ISO/IEC 17025 or equivalent) and laboratory management systems.
  • Familiarity with refractory and abrasive raw materials strongly preferred.
  • Analytical mindset, with an ability to interpret and explain technical data for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, team building, and mentoring skills.
  • High commitment to ethics, objectivity, and transparency in quality assurance.
  • Effective communicator (verbal and written) with strong reporting and presentation skills.
