Senior Transmission Engineer

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Extensive Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
- 4+ years' experience developing design drawings for transmission or distribution projects.
- Sound understanding of drafting standards and ability to Quality Control on own.
- Hands-on experience developing transmission line plan and profile drawings, transmission/distribution line hardware details, hardware assembly details, material lists, and grounding details.
- Experience creating master sketches to scale showing relation of proposed installations to existing facilities and exact specifications and dimensions.
- Ability to confer directly with engineering staff in interpreting input from a variety of sources, such as engineering specifications, PLS CADD & PLS POLE outputs, weight and volume calculations.
- Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Attention to detail.
Preferred skills:
- Familiarity with PLS-CADD & PLS-POLE software.
- Familiar with North American overhead power line industry standards.
