HIH Accounting Operations Accounts Payable – Accounting Analyst

Position Summary:

Evernorth is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable individual to join our emerging Accounting team at our Global Capability Center (GCC) location in Hyderabad. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team from the ground up in a fast-growing, innovative environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, problem solving skills, and a commitment to continuous growth and improvement. The individual will ensure timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with accounts payable processes, accounting policies and regulatory requirements. This role will be a key contributor to the accounts payable team. The role will support customers throughout the company to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments.

The responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Authority Management Tool Updates: Process owner supporting updates to the Oracle Authority management tool to remain compliant with SOX controls
  • Daily payment process: Support non-standard Accounts Payable batch processes to ensure transactions remain compliant with all applicable processes and controls.
  • Daily Accounts Payable activities: Performs a broad range of basic Accounting and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Audit Support: Support audit requests and act as a subject matter expert for various Accounts Payable activities

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software and tools, with a strong understanding of accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Collaboration: Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different functions and locations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required (MBA/CA/ICWA/CFA/CPA preferred).
  • 1-3 years of accounts payable experience.
  • Proven experience within accounts payable, accounting or finance functions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle EPM).
