Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Functional Tester located in Chennai. The Functional Tester will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test cases to ensure the quality of applications. Daily tasks include functional and regression testing, defect reporting, and close collaboration with developers and business teams to understand requirements. Additionally, the role involves contributing to automation testing efforts, preparing test documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in functional testing, regression testing, and integration testing
  • Proficiency in test case design, execution, and defect life cycle management
  • Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium or ready-to-learn automation skills
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and standards, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar is desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience in the Banking, Insurance, or Telecom domain is a plus
