Job Title:
Linux Administrator

Experience:

Location:
Hyderabad & Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar distributions).
  • Perform regular system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Apply system updates, patches, and security configurations.
  • Monitor system logs and identify potential issues proactively.
  • Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues related to Linux systems.
  • Work with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V).
  • Support in automation using shell scripting (Bash/Python).
  • Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and application teams to ensure smooth deployment and operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration.
  • Strong knowledge of
    RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu
    operating systems.
  • Experience with
    system monitoring tools
    (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.).
  • Knowledge of
    TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, FTP, SSH, and firewall configurations
    .
  • Good understanding of virtualization and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is an added advantage.
  • Experience in writing
    shell scripts
    for automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or similar certification is a plus.
