As a Senior Tools Developer on the Common Engineering Tools Team, you will be responsible for designing, and developing enhancements to in-house tools used globally by our Engineering staff.  In addition, you will oversee the deployment, maintenance, and support of these tools.

  • Design, implement & test new features for Common Engineering tools.
  • Create training material and system documentation.
  • Install new systems and new releases into test and production environments.

Mandatory:

  • A bachelor's degree software engineering, computer science or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, most of which is relevant to the position.
  • Excellent knowledge of one of the following development stacks.
    • Java, Spring,
    • JavaScript (React), jQuery, bootstrap
    • Application servers (Apache, Tomcat etc.)
    • Relational database modeling and schema design
    • Experience with PostgreSQL writing procedures and functions
  • Very good knowledge of Windows and Linux.
  • Very good communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.

Preferred:

  • Experience with more than one of the development stacks mentioned previously.
  • Very good knowledge of VMware and other virtualization platforms.
  • Self-motivated and self-confident.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent inter-personal skills.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience in collaborating with international teams.
