Imds Engineer

Job Summary

Guide and support MNC clients's activities regarding IMDS (international material data system) collection and submission throughout the product life from development through the end of production.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Guides suppliers and supports data collection and data entry for IMDS submissions according to specific OEM requirements.
• Evaluate engineering documentation including confirmation of compliance to Data as Master" rules and customer and company guidelines for engineering changes (ECI's), bills of material, 2D/3D data, process ECI changes in IMDS, and other release documents.
• Database entry and maintenance for IMDS information from suppliers and OEM's for MNC Client.
• Develop or maintain database and models for logic use by supply chain departments to determine cost estimating or demand forecasting.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external suppliers to meet customer requirements with understanding of automotive data and industry.
• Establish schedules at each step of the IMDS process and meet scheduled milestones.
• Communicate with MNC US / MNC China and internal departments to ensure business and certification requirements are met.
• Review both external and internal supplier data submitted for all components upon initial release and advise Purchasing/supplier of missing or incorrect data.
• Communicate frequently with MNC USA Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, suppliers and customers.

Education:

B.E. or Equivalent in relevant field

Experience:

• 3+ years working in the Automotive Industry

• Experience working with IMDS, REACH and CADMS tool and ERP system

• Understanding of drawings, materials, PDM, ERP systems

• Good Communication with presentation skills
