About Us
Cocoyaya is a leading manufacturer of hookahs, committed to quality craftsmanship, innovation, and excellence. We are building out a new plant in Okhla Phase-2 and are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations, especially in CNC & VMC machining, and to manage manpower, processes, and plant setup.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Production Manager with strong hands-on experience in machinery (especially CNC and VMC machines), who has managed teams and has the ability to establish and launch operations in a new plant. This role involves overseeing production efficiency, ensuring product quality, scheduling, maintenance, and supervising shop floor operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and supervise the manufacturing operations in the plant.
- Plan & establish the plant so that operations run smoothly and efficiently, and continuously increase productivity.
- Operate & monitor CNC / VMC machine operations: ensure machines are running efficiently, maintain uptime, manage preventive maintenance.
- Develop production schedules to meet targets, ensure timely delivery.
- Manage, train, and lead production/manufacturing teams shop floor staff, machine operators.
- Ensure quality assurance: enforce standards, inspect outputs, troubleshoot defects.
- Optimize processes for efficiency: reduce waste, improve productivity.
- Coordinate with procurement, supply chain, maintenance departments.
- Maintain safety, environmental compliance, and hygiene standards on shop floor.
- Monitor costs, control budgets, and report production KPIs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or similar.
- 10-12 years of experience in a manufacturing / machine shop environment, with strong exposure to CNC & VMC machines.
- Proven track record of setting up or scaling up a manufacturing plant.
- Experience handling/managing manpower: hiring, training, supervising.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of machining processes, tooling, machine maintenance.
- Familiarity with quality systems and standards.
- Ability to work under deadlines, manage multiple tasks, adapt quickly.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
Desirable
- Experience in hookah manufacturing (or related metal/assembly goods).
- Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement exposure.
- Knowledge of health & safety compliances relevant to machinery shop.
