Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to design, develop, and deploy scalable fintech web applications. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions, integrating APIs like payment gateways, KYC/AML, and credit bureaus. The role involves writing clean, testable code, optimizing application speed, and ensuring compliance with security standards (PCI-DSS, SOC2). Youll mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and manage CI/CD pipelines with Git. Experience in fintech domains, API design, and PostgreSQL is essential, while familiarity with frontend frameworks, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver fintech solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following best practices (TDD/BDD).
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security especially with financial data.
  • Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to maintain high code quality.
  • Integrate third-party APIs (payment gateways, credit bureaus, KYC/AML, etc.).
  • Ensure data protection, compliance, and secure coding practices (e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC2).
  • Manage deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and version control with Git.
  • Work with DevOps and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure) when needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development.
  • Deep understanding of object-oriented programming and MVC architecture.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL or other RDBMS (query optimization, migrations, etc.).
  • Familiarity with frontend frameworks (ReactJS, , or Stimulus is a plus).
  • Experience with API design (RESTful or GraphQL).
  • Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, lending, or banking domain preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good understanding of security best practices, especially in fintech.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with microservices or event-driven architecture.
  • Background in distributed systems and system design.
  • Familiarity with background job processors (Sidekiq, Resque).
  • Contributions to open-source projects or fintech startups.
