As the Quality Assurance (QA) Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services within the organization. You will be responsible for leading and managing the Quality Assurance (QA) team, establishing quality standards, and implementing processes to evaluate, monitor, and improve product quality. Your expertise in QA methodologies, leadership skills, and attention to detail will be essential in driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to develop a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Define quality standards and performance metrics for products and services.
- Manage and lead the QA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning within the QA department.
- Establish and implement effective QA processes, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent quality throughout the product development lifecycle.
- This includes requirements analysis, test planning, test case development, execution, and defect tracking.
- Evaluate and implement test automation tools and frameworks to increase efficiency and coverage of QA activities. Promote the adoption of automated testing practices within the QA team.
- Oversee the testing of products and services to identify defects, inconsistencies, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with development and product management teams to ensure timely and accurate bug resolution.
- Lead efforts to conduct performance testing and analysis to assess the scalability and responsiveness of applications and systems.
- Ensure that the organization complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality certifications.
- Work with relevant teams to achieve and maintain required certifications.
- Monitor QA processes and results to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions and lead initiatives to enhance the overall quality of products and services.
- Identify potential risks related to product quality, and work with stakeholders to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide regular updates and reports on QA metrics, test results, and quality-related insights to senior management and stakeholders.
- Provide training and skill development opportunities to the QA team, fostering their professional growth and capabilities.
Skills and Knowledge:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in quality assurance and testing, including at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and test automation tools.
- In-depth knowledge of software development processes, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge and fluency in a high-level programming language C/C++ and C#
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a QA team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in quality standards, compliance, and relevant industry regulations.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Professional certifications in quality assurance, testing, or related fields are a plus.
