1.1.1 About the Role

The Engineer – Infrastructure Systems Group (ISG) will assist in the design and coordination of auxiliary electrical, MEP, and control systems that form the balance-of-plant of solar and renewable energy projects. This includes systems such as AC auxiliary supply, lighting, fire protection, HVAC, SCADA, and communication networks. The role is hands-on, design-focused, and involves close collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines.

Reports To: Senior Engineer – Infrastructure Systems Group

Key Focus: Auxiliary power, MEP, lighting, and control systems design support

1.1.2 Key Responsibilities Design & Engineering

  • Prepare drawings, layouts, and schematics for lighting, small-power, and earthing systems.
  • Support design of MEP systems including fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, and utilities.
  • Assist in developing SCADA and communication system layouts and interface diagrams.
  • Perform lighting design and lux-level calculations using Dialux / Dialux Evo.
  • Prepare equipment sizing sheets, load lists, and cable schedules.
  • Assist in preparing design basis reports, BoQs, and technical documentation.

Project Delivery

  • Coordinate inputs with civil, electrical, and structural teams for integrated design.
  • Review vendor datasheets and drawings for compliance with design requirements.
  • Support site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning of auxiliary systems.
  • Participate in FAT and documentation of test reports under senior supervision.

Collaboration & Support

  • Interface with equipment vendors to obtain technical data and specifications.
  • Assist the BD and proposal teams with technical inputs and cost estimation data.
  • Maintain and update standard templates, calculation tools, and drawing registers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design workflows within the ISG team.

1.1.3 Candidate Profile

Education: BE/BTech in Electrical Engineering.

Experience: 2–3 years in electrical auxiliary or MEP design for power, renewable energy, or industrial projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux / Dialux Evo, and basic knowledge of ETAP.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, and SCADA systems.
  • Understanding of IEC, IS, and NFPA standards relevant to auxiliary and MEP systems.

Other Skills: Strong drafting and documentation skills, attention to detail, ability to coordinate across disciplines, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced project environment.
