Position: Procurement & Sourcing Manager

Industry: Fruits, Vegetables, Grocery & Agri-Trade

Location: Pune (with flexibility to travel Pan-India and abroad)

Experience Required: 3–7 years in procurement/supply chain of fruits, vegetables, or groceries

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Vendor Development
  • Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with suppliers across different states in India (APMCs, mandis, contract farmers, wholesale markets).
  • Develop and manage international sourcing channels (UAE, Oman, Europe, etc.) for export/import opportunities.
  • Procurement Operations
  • Handle daily purchase planning for fresh produce & groceries based on demand and forecast.
  • Negotiate pricing, credit terms, logistics, and quality parameters with vendors.
  • Ensure timely deliveries and reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
  • Sales & Coordination
  • Support sales team by ensuring consistent supply availability for HoReCa clients and retail/export customers.
  • Track purchase vs sales vs stock variances and work with accounts/logistics teams for smooth operations.
  • Quality & Compliance
  • Monitor quality control at procurement stage.
  • Ensure compliance with GST, FSSAI, and export documentation standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in procurement/supply chain of fruits, vegetables, or groceries (mandatory).
  • Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with APMC mandis, local sourcing hubs, and international trade procedures.
  • Data-driven approach with experience in Excel/ERP tools (preferred).
  • Ability to travel for procurement across regions and handle fast-paced operations.
