Chartered Accountant Finance Department, Metalex

Position Summary

The Chartered Accountant will play a pivotal role in Metalex finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic advisory support. This position reports to the Managing Director and collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards and IFRS
  • Lead internal and external audits, coordinate with statutory auditors, and implement audit recommendations
  • Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including corporate income tax, GST filings, and transfer pricing documentation
  • Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses; present insights and corrective actions to leadership
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital requirements, and liquidity planning
  • Conduct financial analysis for new projects, capital investments, and cost-optimization initiatives
  • Maintain and enhance internal control processes, ensuring adherence to corporate governance standards
  • Support ERP implementation and continuous improvement of finance systems and reporting tools
  • Provide ad hoc financial modelling, scenario analysis, and risk assessment for strategic decisions

Required Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification recognized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
  • Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting
  • Minimum 4 to 6 years of post-qualification experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, IFRS, direct and indirect tax regulations

  • Proficiency in ERP platforms (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel modelling
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail
  • Effective communication and presentation skills for diverse stakeholders
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to transparency
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Exposure to M&A financial due diligence and integration processes
