Network Engineer

Job Summary :We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Networking Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. You will troubleshoot network issues, implement network security measures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support our organization's connectivity needs.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of networking principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building and maintaining robust network environments. Responsibilities :Network Design and Implementation :

• Design, configure, and implement LAN, WAN, and WLAN infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams and documentation.
• Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions.
• Select and implement network hardware and software solutions.
• Design and implement network security policies and procedures.

Network Administration and Maintenance :

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Perform network maintenance and upgrades.
• Manage and maintain network monitoring tools.
• Ensure network availability and reliability.

Network Security :

• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans.
• Implement and manage access control lists (ACLs) and network segmentation.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• Respond to and resolve security incidents.

Troubleshooting and Support :

• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
• Provide technical support to end-users and other IT teams.
• Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
• Develop and maintain network troubleshooting procedures.

Collaboration and Communication :

• Collaborate with other IT teams and business units to support network requirements.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in project planning and implementation activities.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

Network Automation :

• Develop and implement network automation scripts and tools.
• Automate network configuration and management tasks.
• Utilize scripting languages (e.g, Python, Bash) for network automation.

Continuous Learning :

• Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and best practices.
• Research and evaluate new network solutions.
• Participate in training and professional development activities.

Qualifications :Education :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience :

• 9 years of experience in network engineering.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure.
• Experience with network devices (e.g, Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet).
• Experience with network protocols (e.g, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with network security technologies.

Technical Skills :

• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of network security principles and technologies.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g, Python, Bash).
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts (e.g, AWS VPC, Azure VNet) is a plus.
