Role Overview

The Data Scientist will develop machine learning models, build algorithms, and contribute to real-time recommender systems. The role focuses on digital analytics, forecasting, customer insights, and improving business performance across multiple domains. This position requires strong collaboration with ML Ops, Reporting teams, IT, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop algorithms for real-time recommender systems and predictive insights.
  • Build and maintain forecasting and analytical models, incorporating user and behavioral data.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and handle insights requests from business stakeholders.
  • Enhance existing machine learning models and analytical processes.
  • Maintain production-level ML assets, model endpoints, and documentation.
  • Use statistical and data science techniques to support strategic business decisions.
  • Prepare clear insights commentary and translate analytics findings for business impact.
  • Support projects involving pricing, inventory, customer experience, marketing, and sales performance.
  • Work with digital analytics tools such as
    Google Analytics
    for user behavior analysis.
  • Collaborate with ML Ops and reporting teams for deployments and pipelines.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in
    Python, R, and SQL
    for model development and data manipulation.
  • Expertise in
    machine learning algorithms, forecasting models, recommender systems
    , and predictive analytics.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as
    Power BI
    .
  • Knowledge of
    cloud platforms and ML Ops
    for model deployment.
  • Familiarity with
    Git, ADO, version control
    , and
    Databricks
    .
  • Experience with
    API development/integration
    for real-time model consumption.
  • Strong understanding of statistics, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
  • Experience working with large datasets and digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and documentation skills.
