Job Description / Responsibilities

• We are seeking someone who has in depth understanding of both the business and technical problems ACC aims to solve.
• To provide advice and guidance at the regional/divisional level and effectively manage a team of professionals and/or subject matter experts. Responsibilities may include interfacing with corporate-level management.
• People and Performance management - Recruits, develops, motivates and manages the team performance. Provides guidelines, support and coaching to ensure that team members have the competencies, capabilities, and tools to consistently deliver individual and team objectives.
• Planning – To coordinate resources with team to ensure the identification and development of goals relating to business initiatives and activities within remit, and in alignment with divisional and corporate goals. Ensures all factors and risks are accounted for in team planning, leads team in communications of initiatives and activities to key stakeholders and secures commitment. Finalises and presents plans to senior management for approval. Supports teams inside and outside department in the preparation of more complex business initiatives, business cases or plans as required.
• Exploring data and crafting models to answer core business problems that may lack blueprints.
• Leading the invention of new approaches and algorithms for taking on data-intensive problems.
• Supports the department by conducting high quality analysis, issues recommendations and contributing to strategic planning, as required, within and across regions. Supports the development and communication of effective reports to key stakeholders, including executive/senior management.
• Pioneering R&D efforts to rapidly understand and assimilate innovative methods.
• Scaling up from "laptop scale" to "cluster scale" problems by leading efforts to standardize and modernize solutions.
• Interacting with senior technologists from the broader enterprise and outside of the partner ecosystems and customers) to create room to collaborate and find opportunities for improvement.
• Builds effective network relationships within own team and with key stakeholders across the business in order to achieve optimal business outcomes. Maintains external alignments with customers, relevant subject matter experts (SMEs), or external bodies as required. Represents the company in external organisations
• Codifying standard processes for future reuse in the form of accessible, reusable patterns, templates, and code bases.

Job Profile Summary:

• Takes ownership and responsibility over major data science and operations research initiatives. Directs a team responsible for modeling and development to support operations initiatives, strategic programs, and new products and solutions. Strong background and experience in the use of sophisticated descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive, and ensemble modeling, advanced statistical techniques, and sophisticated mathematical tools.
• Uses expertise to manage a team that initiates and delivers projects and develops end-to-end solutions that drive business results, including proofs-of-value for new business problems and production-ready solutions for operations and customer-facing products. Understands and ensures the development of solutions supporting the movement of data and information assets following API-First / Architecture principles. Advances ACC's broad capabilities to use and deploy innovative tools in ACC projects, platforms, and products. Applies knowledge of ML Ops, CI/CD processes, and data engineering practices to ensure sustainable model development and provide recommendations on complex problems.
• Provides consultation and thought leadership to senior management.
• Mentors other team members to get results and effectively collaborates with multi-functional teams to deliver business goals
