Educational Qualifications:

  • A first class graduate in Social Science, Commerce, Management, Economics, Law or STEM subjects or going to pass out in current academic year (from institutes ranked by NIRF either Top 100 in Overall or Top 100 Universities or Top 50 Colleges or Top 50 in Management, Top 50 in Engineering or Top 40 in Law of the country).
  • Graduate /Postgraduate from a recognized university abroad having higher international recognition , with the requisite qualifications and experience.
  • The applicant with Postgraduate in Social Science, Social Work, Information Technology (IT), Computer Applications, with strong presentation and communication (written & oral) skill from a recognized University from NIRF-2024- Top 100 Universities or Top- 3 Open Universities or Top 50 Research Institutions will be given preference.

Experience:

8+ years of experience in policy research, program implementation, or strategic consulting within government, PSUs, academia, international organizations private-sector firms.

Skills and Expertise

  • Strong analytical and policy evaluation skills to assess the effectiveness of social welfare schemes.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including state governments, NGOs, and implementing agencies.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation of government programs.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting for policy recommendations.

Willingness to travel extensively to different states and districts for Programme assessment.

Job Description Roles and Responsibilities

Mid-level strategic and advisory role focused on policy formulation and implementation within Social Justice and Empowerment. Consultants- Grade-I will support senior consultants in specialized areas such as constitutional provisions against discrimination and affirmative action policies in education and economic opportunities.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Policy Implementation & Coordination – Assisting in the design, development, and execution of policies, programs, or initiatives across states and districts.
  2. Monitoring & Evaluation: Providing analytical support and strategic inputs to senior officials. Conducting research, impact assessments, and policy evaluations for policy refinement.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration – Coordinating with state governments, NGOs, and local bodies to facilitate smooth implementation. Collaborating with Ministries/ Departments and experts to strengthen Programme implementation.
  4. Financial Oversight – Managing budgets, ensuring proper fund allocation, and maintaining financial transparency.

5. Data Analysis & MIS: Preparing reports, presentations, and recommendations for leadership review. Supporting data analysis, legal reviews, and financial assessments related to social justice initiatives.

6. Compliance & Governance – Adhering to Standard Operating Protocols (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines set by MoSJE.

7. Capacity Building & Training – Organizing workshops and training sessions for officials and implementing agencies.

8. Public Awareness & Outreach – Promoting schemes through campaigns and ensuring beneficiaries are informed.

9. Reporting & Documentation – Preparing detailed reports on Programme performance and presenting findings to senior officials.
