Key Responsibilities:

  • API Test Automation:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated API test scripts using Rest Assured.

  • Ensure API functionality, performance, security, and reliability through automation.
  • Write clear, reusable, and maintainable test cases for RESTful services.

  • Analyze test results, identify failures, and provide actionable insights for development teams.

  • Web Automation:

  • Design and implement automation scripts for web-based applications using tools such as Selenium or other relevant web automation frameworks.

  • Automate end-to-end testing for web applications, ensuring smooth integration between frontend and backend components.

  • Develop automated regression and smoke tests for web functionalities.

  • Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, DevOps) to ensure integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.

  • Continuously monitor test results and proactively troubleshoot failures in a timely manner.

  • Provide detailed test reports and dashboards, highlighting trends, issues, and areas for improvement.

  • Test Strategy and Best Practices:

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of automation testing strategies.

  • Follow industry best practices for testing, automation, and continuous integration.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends in automation tools and technologies, particularly Rest Assured and web automation.

  • Maintenance and Upkeep:

  • Regularly update and refactor existing automation scripts to improve performance, reduce technical debt, and ensure reliability.

  • Maintain a robust test environment to ensure that automated tests run smoothly across various systems and platforms.
