Job Overview
As a Staff Product Designer at Stashfin, you will be integral in crafting exceptional user experiences for our products. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other design team members to create innovative and user-centered solutions that address our customers needs. Your responsibilities will include conducting user research, designing wireframes and prototypes, and producing high-quality UI designs, all while maintaining consistency across platforms. A deep understanding of user behavior, as well as empathy for our users, will be key to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • UX Research : Lead the design process by conducting user research such as interviews, surveys, usability tests, and competitive analysis to gain valuable insights into user needs and pain points.
  • Collaborative Design Strategy : Work closely with cross-functional teamsincluding Product, Engineering, and Marketingto define design goals, create user personas, and outline product requirements.
  • Wireframing & Prototyping : Design both low and high-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows to communicate design concepts and solutions clearly.
  • UI Design : Use Figma to craft visually appealing, intuitive, and consistent user interfaces that align with both product goals and brand guidelines.
  • User-Centered Design : Apply user-centered design principles throughout the product development process, ensuring the end product is easy to use, engaging, and addresses user pain points.
  • Usability Testing : Plan and conduct usability testing to validate design decisions and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
  • Collaboration & Communication : Partner closely with developers to ensure design concepts are translated accurately and to troubleshoot any issues that arise during implementation.
  • Design Reviews : Present design ideas and solutions to key stakeholders, actively incorporate feedback, and iterate to refine and improve the final product.

Required Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in product design or UX/UI design, preferably with a strong portfolio of consumer-facing products that demonstrate your process and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven expertise in UX research techniques such as user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and competitive analysis, with the ability to apply research insights to inform design decisions.
  • Strong visual design skills and the ability to craft engaging, functional, and accessible user interfaces that align with both business objectives and user needs.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • A solid understanding of user-centered design principles and how to translate user insights into actionable design solutions that improve the user experience.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketing.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes and experience working in fast-paced, iterative environments.
  • A critical thinker who can approach complex design challenges with creativity and a user-first mentality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in designing for both mobile and web platforms.
  • Previous work in consumer technology sectors such as e-commerce, fintech, health, or entertainment is a bonus.
