Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Management:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper records for all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure adherence to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, and other tax filings.
- Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (e.g., Ind AS, IFRS).
- Budgeting and Financial Planning:
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
- Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the accounts team to ensure high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Monitor team performance and ensure timely delivery of departmental goals.
- Reporting and MIS:
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Develop and maintain MIS for tracking financial performance and key metrics.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Inter- CA/M.Com or equivalent degree.
- Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in accounts and finance, in a manufacturing environment. Listed Company experience is essential.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage teams and work under pressure.
- Ensure timely submission of reports to the management.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for streamlining and automating accounting processes.
- Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and improve operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and other external stakeholders for smooth financial operations.
- Support other departments in financial planning and execution as required.
