Role & responsibilities

Proactive administration and monitoring the health status of systems and taking preventive or corrective action as required.

Resolve performance issues/errors - escalate to vendor appropriately if needed.

Preparation of RCA for Major Incidents

Maintaining and updating of Documents

User management - Creation and deletion of users, groups, required login scripts

Security management -Configuring Access rights, Password control, LAN network security

Configure and maintain Network, Storage, File System

Verify system /storage logs and periodically clean up log files

Schedule and optimize the services running on the server

Schedule and perform all backups as per SOP provided by Bank

Monitoring and troubleshooting of network connectivity of all servers

Monitoring and escalation of hardware problems

Creation of comprehensive documentation on system and storage configuration, hardware

Inventory, system administration and changes therein.

Escalation to proper channel, in case of any issues and in sync with DR team.

Monitoring of server/storage critical environment parameters.

DR Drill /Mock drill/ Table top drill and BCP operations support

Preferred candidate profile

The Engineer must have Redhat Certification

Experience: - Minimum of 4-5+ years of relevant experience as L2 engineer

Should have knowledge on Satellite patch application process and regular patch installation

Shell scripting knowledge is required.

Should be ready to handle 24*7 shift operations along with other resources.
