Job Purpose:

The AutoCAD Design Engineer will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, 3D models, and designs for rubber and metal components and products. This role requires a deep understanding of the rubber and metal manufacturing industry, ensuring designs align with functional, manufacturing, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software, specifically tailored to rubber and metal components.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and client expectations.
  • Perform feasibility studies, material analysis, and calculations relevant to rubber and metal design applications.
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and sales teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure all designs are aligned with industry best practices for rubber moulding, metal fabrication, and hybrid material manufacturing.
  • Maintain and update design documentation, project files, and technical databases.
  • Provide technical support during prototyping and testing phases, ensuring design accuracy and practical implementation.
  • Stay updated with advancements in CAD tools, rubber and metal manufacturing technologies, and industry trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of rubber moulding, metal fabrication processes, and hybrid material design.
  • Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and design for manufacturability principles.
  • Experience in creating designs for products that combine rubber and metal components is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of professional experience in CAD design, preferably in the rubber and metal manufacturing industry.

Soft Skills:

  • High attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
