Job Summary

The Media Pre & Post Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all activities related to pre-production and post-production of video, digital, and multimedia content. This role ensures smooth execution from concept to final delivery while maintaining quality, timelines, and brand standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Production Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage content calendars, shoot schedules, and production timelines
  • Coordinate with creative teams, scriptwriters, directors, and clients
  • Review scripts, storyboards, and shot lists before production
  • Arrange logistics including locations, equipment, crew, permissions, and budgets
  • Ensure readiness of camera, audio, lighting, and production setups
  • Conduct pre-shoot briefings with production teams

Post-Production Responsibilities

  • Oversee video editing, color grading, sound design, subtitles, and motion graphics
  • Coordinate with editors, graphic designers, voice-over artists, and animators
  • Ensure content aligns with platform-specific requirements (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, OTT, Ads)
  • Maintain quality control and brand consistency across all outputs
  • Review and approve final edits before publishing or client delivery
  • Manage revisions and feedback loops efficiently

Team & Workflow Management

  • Assign tasks and monitor performance of editors, designers, and assistants
  • Optimize post-production workflows for faster turnaround
  • Maintain asset libraries, backups, and file organization
  • Train and guide junior editors and production staff

Coordination & Reporting

  • Work closely with Marketing, Social Media, and Business teams
  • Track production costs and ensure projects stay within budget
  • Prepare production reports, timelines, and performance reviews
  • Handle vendor coordination and freelance management when required

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Film Production, Mass Communication, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in media production or post-production management
  • Strong understanding of video production workflows
  • Proficiency in tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro
  • Knowledge of camera formats, codecs, frame rates, and export standards
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and time-management skills

Preferred Skills

  • Experience handling YouTube channels, Instagram Reels, Shorts, and Ads
  • Knowledge of SEO for video, thumbnails, and content optimization
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative problem-solving and decision-making ability
