Reports To: Group Finance Controller / Finance Director

Job Purpose

The Accounts Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with statutory requirements, timely reporting, and efficient management of receivables, payables, and general ledger functions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Manage and supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

Ensure timely month-end and year-end closings with accurate reporting.

Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.

  1. Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.

Support management in financial planning and decision-making.

  1. Compliance & Controls

Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax laws, and statutory requirements.

Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.

Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

  1. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

Oversee receivables and payables management to ensure healthy cash flow.

Monitor bank reconciliations and treasury activities.

Negotiate with suppliers/customers on payment terms where required.

  1. Team Management & Process Improvement

Supervise and guide accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day tasks.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Train and develop team members for succession planning.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's / Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5–7 years of progressive accounting experience

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS/GAAP, and local tax regulations.

Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.

Excellent communication, and analytical skills.
