Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Tactical Sourcing Specialist (Proprietary Product Sourcing) based in Pune. The Tactical Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for identifying and evaluating suppliers, managing procurement processes, conducting contract negotiations, and supporting the sourcing of proprietary products. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, analyzing market trends, and ensuring the company meets cost and quality objectives within the supply chain.

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating supplier performance, market trends, and data-driven decision-making
• Excellent Communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams effectively
• Expertise in Contract Negotiation to secure optimal terms and conditions in vendor agreements
• Procurement skills with the ability to manage supply chain processes and resolve any sourcing challenges
• Additional qualifications in Recruiting or talent sourcing are a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with the healthcare or medical product industry is a strong asset

2. Primary Responsibilities

Source direct material components as per BOM requirements.

Work with engineering and production for item specs & alternates.

Manage supplier capability checks, pricing, and lead times.

Support kitting operations – part availability, shortages, substitutions.

Resolve supply issues through supplier coordination.

Review PPV, cost drivers, and negotiate for cost reductions.

3. Key Deliverables (6–12 Months)

Ensure 100% material availability for kitting operations.

Achieve PPV savings and cost reduction on assigned categories.

Reduce supplier lead times and improve OTIF performance.

Complete commodity-wise benchmarking exercises.

4. Technical Skills

Strong understanding of BOMs and engineering drawings.

Direct materials sourcing experience.

Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
