Role & responsibilities
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and performance-driven Head of Marketing eCommerce to lead marketing initiatives for Mothercare's digital business across D2C ) and marketplace channels. This leader will be responsible for driving brand recall, acquiring new customers, building CRM programs, and strengthening partnerships with online platforms. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in brand marketing, digital performance marketing, CRM tools, and customer lifecycle management, with proven ability to balance brand objectives with ROI-focused growth.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Customer Acquisition
- Drive initiatives to increase brand recall and visibility on D2C website and marketplaces.
- Lead new customer acquisition strategies with focus on reducing Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).
- Plan and execute campaigns, promotions, and activations across digital platforms.
CRM & Retention
- Design and implement CRM strategies to maximize customer engagement and repeat purchases.
- Leverage tools like MoEngage, CleverTap, WebEngage, etc. to manage customer journeys, automation, and personalization.
- Conduct RFM analysis (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) to build customer segmentation and retention programs.
- Develop loyalty-driven strategies to maximize Customer Lifetime Value (CLV).
Marketplace Marketing & Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with marketplace partners (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, FirstCry, Ajio, TataCliq, Nykaa, etc.).
- Strategize and implement joint marketing activations with marketplaces to drive visibility, traffic, and conversions.
- Align campaigns with key events (Big Billion Days, Great Indian Festival, End of Season Sales, etc.) to maximize ROI.
Digital Marketing & Performance Management
- Oversee digital performance marketing across paid channels (Search, Display, Social, Affiliates, Influencers).
- Optimize campaigns for CAC, ROAS, and CLV.
- Collaborate with internal brand marketing teams to ensure consistent brand messaging while tailoring campaigns for digital platforms.
- Continuously analyze and optimize traffic sources, conversion funnels, and attribution models.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with internal brand marketing, category, and product teams to ensure cohesive marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with creative, content, and cataloguing teams for campaign execution.
- Build and mentor a team of specialists across performance, CRM, and digital marketing.
