Our assets include ships, mines, cranes, containers, depots, trucks, and auxiliary heavy equipment. Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer located in Chennai. The Chief Financial Officer will oversee the financial operations of the company, including financial planning, financial reporting, and analysis. Daily tasks will involve preparing financial statements, managing budgets, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Chief Financial Officer will also collaborate with executive leadership to develop financial strategies and provide insights to support business decisions.

Shortlist criteria:


•   Industry match (shipping/logistics)


•   CFO or Deputy CFO experience


•   Familiarity with Indian & international finance (IFRS, IND-AS, FEMA, Tonnage Tax)


•   M&A or IPO experience (bonus)

Alumni & Industry Networks


•   ICAI Chennai / ICAI Bangalore chapters – post hiring intent via alumni bulletin


•   Indian Maritime University alumni circles


•   Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) or port trust retirees who moved into finance roles

Key qualifications for a shipping-experienced CFO:


•   Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA (Finance), or equivalent


•   15–25 years of experience, with at least 5 years as CFO or senior finance leader


•   Prior experience in:


•   Shipping or maritime logistics companies


•   Ship financing, port operations, vessel chartering, or EPC projects


•   Handling foreign currency, ECBs, hedging, JOLCO, lease structuring


•   Familiar with SEZ/port/FDI norms and maritime taxation (e.g., Tonnage Tax Scheme)


• Based in or willing to relocate to Tamil Nadu/Andhra/Kerala/Karnataka
