Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership for 
    extrusion operations
     at Jindal Aluminium's Dabaspet Unit, ensuring production meets 
    world-class quality, efficiency, and cost standards
    .
  • Oversee the 
    entire extrusion process
    , including die selection/design, billet preparation, extrusion parameters, heat treatment, and finishing operations to deliver premium aluminium profiles.
  • Implement 
    lean manufacturing practices
     and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize output while reducing downtime and waste.
  • Collaborate with the 
    Quality Assurance team
     to ensure all products meet 
    Aerospace, Automotive, Architectural, and Industrial
     application standards, including relevant 
    ISO and international certifications
    .
  • Drive 
    process innovation
     by adopting the latest 
    extrusion technologies, automation systems, and tooling advancements
    .
  • Lead 
    root cause analysis
     and corrective/preventive actions for process deviations, ensuring consistent quality and productivity.
  • Develop and manage 
    technical SOPs, maintenance schedules, and training programs
     for engineers, supervisors, and operators.
  • Monitor 
    KPI metrics
     such as extrusion speed, recovery rate, energy efficiency, and on-time delivery performance.
  • Coordinate with 
    Production Planning, Maintenance, and R&D
     teams to introduce new alloys, profiles, and customer-specific designs.
  • Ensure 
    strict adherence to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols
     and regulatory requirements.
  • Build and mentor a 
    high-performing technical team
    , fostering skill development and accountability.
  • Report operational performance, challenges, and improvement plans directly to senior management.

Qualifications

Must have experience with Aluminium Industry with 10Y+

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in
    Metallurgy / Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
    (Mandatory)
  • M.E. / M.Tech in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
