Role Overview:

Lead the crew management team in Mumbai and is responsible for developing manning and training strategies to achieve growth and business performance objectives in accordance with the budget, policies & strategies set and agreed.

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine / HR discipline with relevant maritime background.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Crewing Head
  • 5+ years of shore experience in crew management & performance development
  • Must have both commercial and operational shipping knowledge
  • Excellent knowledge of shipping regulations/laws, competitors, etc.
  • Proven leadership, people management, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in crewing management systems and MS Office.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies for the crewing department to achieve company objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate the crew management team's performance.
  • Enhance crewing targets through employer branding, candidate pipeline, training, and crew retention in line with ONGC and ARAMCO requirements.
  • Cultivate a culture that values seafarers as our most important asset and supports their development.
  • Conduct internal audits for ongoing performance improvement.
  • Guide the team in developing high-quality crew and building key relationships.
  • Establish operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and deliver quality services.
  • Foster a positive organizational climate to maximize crew management performance.
  • Communicate company objectives and targets clearly to the team.
  • Create a strong performance management culture with clear goals and metrics for everyone.
