About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Manager – Pricing to lead and manage pricing functions. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing competitive pricing strategies, negotiating rates, optimizing cost structures, and ensuring profitability while aligning with customer needs and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee end-to-end pricing strategies for freight forwarding operations, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.

  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and commercial teams to align pricing structures with customer requirements and market trends.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor pricing models based on cost analysis, market rates, and competitor benchmarks.

  • Build and maintain relationships with shipping lines, vendors, and partners to secure favorable pricing and contractual terms.

  • Analyze freight costs, carrier agreements, fuel surcharges, and other cost components to ensure pricing accuracy and transparency.

  • Work closely with the import/export and documentation teams to ensure that pricing reflects compliance, taxes, duties, and other regulations.

  • Provide timely pricing quotations and proposals to customers, ensuring alignment with internal approval workflows.

  • Monitor market trends, demand-supply fluctuations, and regulatory changes to proactively adjust pricing strategies.

  • Implement pricing governance frameworks, approval matrices, and auditing mechanisms to ensure adherence to company policies.
    • Mentor and guide pricing analysts and related teams to enhance pricing processes and data driven decision-making.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in pricing management within freight forwarding, logistics, or international shipping operations.

  • Proven experience in rate negotiations with shipping lines, carriers, and logistics partners.

  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in cost modelling, pricing optimization, and margin analysis.

  • In-depth knowledge of freight pricing components such as FCL, LCL, air freight, fuel surcharges, duties, and taxes.

  • Familiarity with global shipping regulations, import/export documentation, and compliance frameworks.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field are preferrable.
