About the Role

Sankar IAS Academy is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Accounts Department in Coimbatore. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in finance and accounting within the education sector. The selected candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, fee management, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate day-to-day accounting transactions
  • Manage and reconcile student fee payments and receipts
  • Handle petty cash disbursements with proper documentation
  • Prepare and process vouchers, bills, and invoices
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Support statutory compliance activities including GST, TDS, and other filings
  • Coordinate with the senior accountant and administration team for smooth financial operations
  • Ensure timely and accurate bank reconciliations and data entry
  • Organize and maintain financial records and documentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in accounting (freshers encouraged to apply)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial practices
  • Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and other accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • High level of integrity in handling financial data

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹25,000.00 per month
