OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE

• Development coordination and customization of projects/complex enhancements for the Finance Product Line capabilities in MDG Finance, HR, bank master area, by proactively identifying changes in business and the technology landscape, that would impact the ERP portfolio and developments through the lifecycle.

• Active participant in the MDG Finance Product Line Team ensuring integrated design, build and deployment and operations of responsible product line. Ensure that dependencies are understood, managed and communicated.

• Partner with business and countries, possess solid knowledge of both business and technology, to drive ERP solutions to harmonization, optimization and operational excellence of the ERP Services.

• Ensure business continuity through operational and service excellence of responsible product lines.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Work on global transformational projects, local deployment projects or change requests primarily in area of SAP Finance (FI-GL; FI-AP; FI-AR; Treasury; CO)
• A solid business understanding of Finance/Controlling processes, combined with hands-on SAP configuration experience. Candidate should understand integration points and dependencies between the SAP FI/CO components and other SAP ECC (mainly SD, MM and PP), S/4 HANA).
• Participate in the design of roadmaps for product line, ensuring integration into the overall product management roadmap and release plans (SAP ECC, SAP S/4 HANA) and raising any issues related to the critical path of the product to the Product Owner, Finance SAP managers and ERP Platform counterparts
• Participate in the definition of user requirements, user stories, functional/technical specifications and the update/review of Design Papers and process flows. Work closely with the key business and IT stakeholders and third-party providers to deliver new application solutions and enhancements to existing applications.
• Act as the 'go to' person for stakeholders and liaison/driver for business community. Possess strong knowledge of both business and technology regarding ERP solutions and developments. Propose best practice change and business support.
• Ensure that all system changes and projects adhere to Takeda standard integrated design, build and deployment processes. Ensure that dependencies are understood, managed and communicated.
• Lead resolution of complex problems with a global impact on the business and identify opportunities to streamline business and/or layered system processes and ensure delivered work meets technical, functional, performance and business requirements as well as best practices.
• Actively engage with the release and engagement teams, major programs ensuring active adoption and deployment of product line capabilities. Support active engagements and
  continuous improvement as required.
• Partner with countries and key business stakeholders to lead the identification of changes in business and the initial drafting of end user stories.
• Contribute to the development of the strategy for the Finance ERP team as a whole. 
• Ensure alignment with Business Process Owners and IT Business Partners to drive engagement, process design, prioritization and deployment support across the respective areas.
• Support business priorities by proactively identifying changes in business and the technology landscape that would impact the ERP portfolio (SAP FI/CO, Concur, BlackLine and other ERP systems)
• Provide subject matter expertise and strategic input into ERP Finance functional areas and technologies, contributing to future ERP strategic direction and system selection/deployment decisions
• Responsible for identification and communication of required skills and training opportunities to Product Line Lead
• Mentor and develop more junior team members within SAP Finance on technical/process areas

  • A solid business understanding of finance processes with focus in FI/CO, combined with hands-on SAP ECC configuration experience. Candidate should also understand to certain extent an integration points and dependencies other core modules (like SAP PP, SAP SD, SAP MM) 
  • Possess solid knowledge of both business and technology, to drive ERP solutions to harmonization, optimization and operational excellence of the ERP Services. 
  • Excellent ERP Finance Process Knowledge 
  • Subject Matter Expertise in functional areas of ERP Finance (FI)
  • Understanding of legal, regulatory and local country requirements that affect the ERP Finance solution 
  • Manage and configure new SAP capabilities and proto-type solutions to determine fit for meeting stated business requirements
  • Design ERP Finance interfaces with other applications including an understanding of Takeda's middleware solutions that provide these capabilities  
  • Expertise in Integration Projects / SAP implementations. 
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry 

  Leadership  

  • Adherence to all applicable performance review cycle requirements and HR policies 

  • Responsible for identification and communication of required skills and training opportunities to Product Line Lead 

  • Contribute to Knowledge Sharing initiatives to other team members across the ERP Finance product line 

  • Mentor and develop more junior team members within SAP FI

  Decision-making and Autonomy 

  • Ability to work under supervision of senior consultant on complex project or as lead consultant of small / medium complexity projects.

  • Provide recommendations to ERP leadership in relation to future state technological solutions and deployment options 

  Interaction 

  • Cooperation with ERP S4 MDG, Workday, ARIBA, Concur, EDGE, ADP, ERP ECC teams

  • Cooperate with all stakeholders including ERP Vendors  and Business requestors of small enhacements

  Innovation 

  • Keep informed on developments in the ERP technology space and identify relevant use-cases for deployment at Takeda 

  • Align system developments/enhancement with future ERP roadmap, ensuring that solutions are future-proofed and compatible with future ERP state 

  • Skills to communicate pro-actively to share knowledge, provide and receive information

  Complexity 

  • Track record in product management (must be related to SAP ecosystem)

  • Manage activities in concordance with objectives of ERP Finance team, respecting local HR processes, cultural aspects, time zone and languages and Takeda core principles

  • Manage relationships with multiple stakeholders (ERP Team, Takeda Business Solutions, Support Teams, ERP Vendors, External Consultants, Takeda GMS Finance Community and local country Finance representatives)

  • Responsible for both Projects and Business as Usual issues that impact on the ERP Finance team. 

  EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5+ years of SAP functional, configuration experience in FI (FI-GL, FI-AR, FI-AP; CO), Taxes, Asset management
  • Practical experience with 2+ full lifecycle SAP implementation projects for global clients
  • Manage and configure new SAP capabilities and proto-type solutions to determine fit for meeting stated business requirements
  • Experience in FI/CO integration with other modules including Sales and Distribution, Material Management and, Supply Chain,  Intercompany.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner.
  • Experience with data migration tools and data migration strategy on finance related objects
  • Understanding of legal, regulatory and local country requirements that affect the ERP Finance solution
  • Design ERP Finance interfaces with other applications including an understanding of Takeda's middleware solutions that provide these capabilities 
  • Project management experience, including management of full lifecycle implementations for major application implementation.
  • Ability to analyze a wide variety of data and make appropriate decisions.
  • Ability to set priorities, develop workflow processes and manage business and provider relationships.
  • Extensive experience with SDLC methodology and the validation process, including writing deliverables for validated systems.

  Desired:

  • Pharmaceutical industry and drug development experience.
  • SAP certification within module and/or technology.
  • Experience with working with multiple teams across a matrixed organization to implement solutions.
  • Experience in S4/HANA implementation
