Data Entry Intern

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Entry & Updating: Accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining data in spreadsheets (primarily Microsoft Excel) and various database systems.
  • Data Sorting and Cleaning: Performing routine data audits, cleaning, and sorting to eliminate errors, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
  • Report Generation Assistance: Helping to compile simple reports and summaries from collected data to assist management.
  • Basic Research: Conducting straightforward online research to gather, verify, or supplement existing datasets as needed.
  • Document Organization: Organizing and maintaining digital files, folders, and documentation to ensure easy retrieval and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Quality Control: Verifying the integrity of data and ensuring compliance with data governance policies.
  • Administrative Support: Assisting with other ad-hoc administrative and data-related tasks as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Business, Information Technology, Data Science, Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., creating and managing spreadsheets, using basic formulas like SUM, AVERAGE, and VLOOKUP, and sorting/filtering data).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
