ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Business Development Head will be responsible for spearheading the expansion of Simbus's procurement aggregation services business in India by acquiring large, creditworthy corporate clients. This senior leader will drive high-value strategic acquisitions, leveraging a deep network within the Indian corporate finance landscape, particularly focusing on Chief Financial Officers (CFOs). The role demands expert knowledge in supply chain finance and the ability to articulate how Simbuss aggregation model solves critical financial, compliance, and operational challenges for large organizations.

WHAT YOULL BRING:

• Minimum 20 years of experience selling financial services and products, preferably in supply chain finance, to large corporates in India.
• Demonstrable track record of establishing and maintaining excellent contacts and network with the CFOs and senior finance professionals of major Indian companies.
• Deep understanding of the financial and regulatory landscape in India affecting large buyers and their MSME suppliers, particularly the MSME Act regulations.
• Experience in recruitment, mentoring, and leading high-performing sales teams.

WHAT YOULL DO:

• Acquire large customers and drive new business revenue by positioning Simbuss procurement aggregation service as a strategic solution for cash flow and compliance management.
• Leverage an excellent network and contacts with the CFOs of large Indian companies to secure commercial agreements and establish discounting limits with client banks/NBFCs
• Successfully negotiate and close deals with large corporates needing extended vendor credit.
• Demonstrate a demonstrated track record of acquiring large customers

• Articulate the benefits of the procurement aggregation model, specifically focusing on:

• MSME Act Compliance: Explaining how Simbus, as a non-MSME organization, ensures compliance with the regulation mandating payment to MSMEs within 45 days, thereby allowing the corporate customer to maintain extended vendor credit terms (e.g., 120 or 180 days).

• Mitigation of Tax Risk: Clearly explaining how our model prevents the loss of deductibility of expenses due to non-compliance with the 45-day payment rule.
• Financial and Accounting Simplification: Highlighting the benefit of simplifying the accounting process by dealing with one aggregator instead of hundreds of vendors.

• GST Compliance: Promoting Simbuss rigorous financial discipline, which ensures timely and accurate filing of GST returns, zero GST credit leakage, and guarantees that vendor invoices are GST compliant.

• Possess excellent knowledge of supply chain finance, including concepts like invoice discounting, 3-way matching, and the roles of NBFCs/banks in providing lines of credit

• Utilize excellent grounding in sales processes to define and implement high-efficiency sales strategies aligned with Simbus's focus on Process Excellence.
• Build a team of Sales Executives and Managers under his/her leadership, ensuring the team is equipped to sell Simbus's capabilities in Procurement Aggregation.
• Drive accountability for the sales team's performance, ensuring high achievement of targets.
